The Datalogic Skorpio X40 and the Datalogic Skorpio X45 are next-generation compact mobile computers designed specifically for intensive, continuous use in retail, light warehousing, manufacturing, logistics, and healthcare. The slim, well-balanced housing fits naturally in the hand and reduces fatigue during long shifts—from receiving goods to shipping. The 4.0-inch WVGA display, with 450 nits of brightness and tempered Corning® Gorilla® Glass Victus®, offers reliable readability both indoors and outdoors. Three backlit keypad options (29, 39, and 48 keys) enable precise data entry under all conditions—even while wearing gloves. The field-replaceable pistol grip can be swapped out during operation without tools. It features a Qualcomm® Dragonwing™ 4490 octa-core processor running at 2.4 GHz, combined with 6 GB of RAM, 128 GB of flash storage, and Android 15 GMS—with a guaranteed upgrade path to Android 19. The Skorpio X40 offers Wi-Fi 6/6E, while the Skorpio X45 adds 5G cellular connectivity, GPS/GNSS, and a barometer for advanced location tracking capabilities.

Barcode scans are immediately confirmed by Datalogic’s patented Green Spot™ technology: A green light appears directly on the scanned label. Two scan engines are available—Standard 2D and Extended Range—both offering reliable reading performance for 1D and 2D codes under all conditions. The 7,000-mAh battery with hot-swap capability ensures uninterrupted 24/7 operation. Charging is done via contact or wirelessly (Qi EPP, 10 W)—without wear on charging contacts. Full backward compatibility with Skorpio X5 docks and accessories protects existing infrastructure investments when upgrading devices. Devices are managed via the Datalogic Connect platform and the Datalogic Mobility Suite, which offer comprehensive security, configuration, and optimization tools. All common UEM/EMM solutions are supported, including Microsoft Intune, SOTI MobiControl, and VMware Workspace One.
