Bixolon XT5-40 Industrial Printer
The Bixolon XT5-40 series includes the XT50-40, XT5-43, and XT5-46 models, with the model designation based on the print resolution (dpi). The XT5-40 has 203 dpi, the XT5-43 has 300 dpi, and the XT5-46 has 600 dpi.
All printers in the series use thermal transfer printing, but can also print using direct thermal printing, and RFID-capable configurations are also available. Depending on the print resolution, the print speed ranges from a maximum of 127 mm/sec to a maximum of 354 mm/sec, and the maximum print width is 104 mm.
Thanks to its technical features and robust aluminum housing, the XT5 series is a high-performance industrial printer that can be used even in harsh environments at operating temperatures ranging from 5 to 40°C.
With a variety of drivers and support for the printer languages BPL-Z (ZPL), BPL-E (EPL), BPL-D, and SLCS, the XT5 can be connected to all standard systems.
The XT5 is equipped with a 4.3-inch touchscreen display, allowing you to easily make simple adjustments right on the printer.
With the Printer Twin feature, printer settings and data can be easily copied to other printers via a USB flash drive, so you only need to manually set up one printer—which, of course, saves time and, consequently, money and resources, especially during a large-scale rollout. The XT5 can accommodate media with a width of 25 mm to 114 mm and a maximum outer roll diameter of 203 mm. The core should have a diameter of 38.1 mm or 76.2 mm. A peeler (dispenser), rewinder (for the backing paper), and cutter are also available as optional accessories for easier media handling.
If you use transfer ribbon for printing, it can be 50 mm–110 mm wide and have a maximum length of 450 m. The core should be 1 inch (25.4 mm) in diameter.
The XT5 comes standard with a serial port, USB port, and Ethernet port, and features a built-in RTC (Real-Time Clock). Models with Wi-Fi or Bluetooth are also available as options. It features 512 MB of RAM and 512 MB of flash memory. Despite its technical capabilities and rugged design, the XT5 is also space-saving thanks to its double-hinged door.
