Carl Valentin Vario III Industrial Printer

The Carl Valentin Vario III is a versatile industrial printer and the successor to the Vario and the Vario II. It is available in both direct thermal and thermal transfer versions. The Vario III is suitable for medium to high print volumes and operates at a print speed of up to 250 mm/s. The manufacturer has technically and visually redesigned the Vario III compared to its predecessors, and it is now made from recyclable materials without consuming more energy.
The Vario III can be ordered either with an LCD display and buttons or with a 7-inch touchscreen. The display and menu navigation are intuitive and easy to understand. All standard media options, such as dispensers, cutters, and unwinding and rewinding mechanisms, are also still available. On the side of the Vario III, a viewing window allows you to monitor the consumption of labels and transfer ribbon, so that roll changes can be planned well in advance.
Thanks to its design, combined with its ruggedness and an operating temperature range of 5–35°C, the Vario III can be used in virtually any area of your business.

The Vario III is available in 200 dpi, 300 dpi, and 600 dpi (thermal transfer version only) and has a print width of 104 mm, 105.7 mm, or 108.4 mm, depending on the selected configuration. Labels must be at least 15 mm and no more than 110 mm wide. By default, these should be wound on a 40-mm core, although an optional core adapter for 75-mm cores is also available. For the thermal transfer models, a ribbon on a 1-inch core with a maximum outer diameter of 80 mm is required. The ribbon may be up to 110 mm wide and 450 m long.
Thanks to a 32-bit high-speed processor and 16 MB of RAM, the Vario III can quickly process transmitted data and execute your label printing jobs. As standard, the printer features serial, parallel, and USB ports, as well as an Ethernet interface. A Wi-Fi interface can be added as an option at the factory but cannot be retrofitted.
