The Point Mobile PM451 is a rugged MDE device designed specifically for the demanding conditions found in warehouses and logistics operations. Powered by a Qualcomm SDA660 octa-core processor with a 2.2 GHz clock speed, along with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal flash memory (optionally 8 GB/128 GB), the handheld terminal reliably handles even data-intensive applications. On the 4.3-inch WVGA display with Corning Gorilla Glass and capacitive multi-touch, employees always have a complete overview of their processes, even in direct sunlight thanks to a high display brightness of at least 500 nits. Three different scan engines are available for data capture: a classic 1D scanner, a versatile 1D/2D imager, and a long-range variant that reliably captures even heavily damaged barcodes from up to 29 meters away. The MDE device is complemented by a 13-MP camera with an LED flash, which allows the condition of goods and delivery slips to be documented directly on-site. There are also three backlit keypad options available for text entry.

Thanks to an optional LTE module, the PM451 stays connected even when Wi-Fi coverage in the warehouse reaches its limits—ensuring uninterrupted data transmission indoors and outdoors, as well as seamless communication among employees. In addition, the handheld terminal supports A-GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and Beidou for precise location tracking during outdoor use. The PM451 demonstrates its durability with IP65 certification, multiple drops from 1.8 meters onto concrete across the entire operating temperature range, and a drop test to MIL-STD-810G from 2 meters. It also successfully passed a tumble test consisting of 1,000 cycles (2,000 drops) from a height of 1 meter. The operating temperature range of -20 °C to 60 °C—optionally extendable for use in cold storage and deep-freeze areas—makes the device a reliable companion in any warehouse environment. With three selectable keypad options and an optional pistol grip for ergonomic operation, the PM451 can be flexibly adapted to different workflows. The pre-installed Enterprise Mobility Kit (EmKit) and the PULS program, which provides up to seven years of software support, round out the complete package.
